Container/Tube: Plain, red-top tube(s)
Specimen Volume: 1 mL of serum
Collection Instructions: Random levels
are drawn on dialysis patients.
NOTE:
1. Dosage information, and which other antimicrobials are given concurrently, and date and time of draw are required on the request form for processing.
2. Protect sample from light

Random: 0.0-40.0 mcg/mL
Critical Range:
Random: >80.0 mcg/mL

To convert mcg/mL vancomycin to mg/L vancomycin, multiple the result by 1.0
